45m Project Adur

The hull construction at Shipyard Hakvoort a 45.2 meter fast aluminium motoryacht is well underway. The sale build is management by Ocean Independence on the client’s behalf. Interior and exterior are done by Omega Architects. Naval Architecture from the board of Van Oossanen, including the innovative Hull Vane®, will guarantee sea keeping qualities as well as speed and range.

Below the waterline the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) is combined with the Hull Vane® placed below the transom. As a result of this combination, fuel consumption and ship motions are reduced with an average of 20 to 25%, effecting a significantly improved onboard comfort, higher maximum speed and a better fuel economy.

With her full aluminium fast displacement hull and Hull Vane wing and powered by two 2580 kW MTU (type12V 4000 M93L) diesel engines and two electric booster engines, Adur will be faster than most yachts of her size and reach an impressive speed of 26.5 knots.

Yet at a steady cruising speed of 12 knots, she has transatlantic capability with a range of 3800 nautical miles. Project Adur is designed for efficient performance and reduced emissions, allowing her owners to also visit sensitive ecological areas.
