55m motoryacht Antares

Antares is a 55m steel-hulled FDHF motoryacht that was delivered by Heesen to her owner, a very experienced American yachtsman, in 2018. She will have some special features to carry out her role as mothership to the owner’s sport fishing fleet, such as the possibility to re-fuel and re-charge two sport fishing boats, allowing for several days out at sea.

Moreover, Project Antares boasts a major difference from her equally beautiful sister ships: an owner’s apartment that is 30 per cent larger, having been extended from 62 to 80 sqm.

The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests overnight in 6 cabins, comprising a master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard. Italian designers Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini have been working closely with the owner and his team to personalise the interior design of his new 740GT vessel.

Project Antares’s exterior was designed by Omega architects, with Van Oossanen developing the naval architecture.  The yacht reaches a top speed of 16 knots and cruises at 13 knots, empowered by twin MTU 8V4000 M63 engines. With her 100,000 fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
