M/Y Serenity

For Heesen Yachts, we did the preliminary design based on Omega Architects’ general arragement.

The yacht’s hull is built of steel with an aluminium super structure. Together with the people at Heesen yachts, we transformed the concept and GA into a set of drawings to be used by Heesen for the detailed engineering. Our work encompassed a construction plan and scantling calculations, weight and stability calculations, resistance and propulsion calculations and model tests and CFD calculations to optimise the orientation of shaft brackets. We also prepared the technical general arrangement plan, in order to achieve a higher level of detail so that all disciplines can work smoothly together based on this set of drawings.

Serenity was launched in 2012.
