Jetten Beach 45

Summer 2015 Van Oossanen received the order to design the new Beach series of Jetten Shipyard in Sneek, The Netherlands. Well known for her yachts between 11 and 24 m, with this new series Jetten Shipyard changed their building method from steel to aluminium, allowing the yacht a maximum speed of 20+ knots.

For reasons of efficiency and comfort, Jetten decided to use Van Oossanen’s patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) for the new Beach series. By using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis, we designed a very efficient hull without making a compromise on the interior space.  Both exterior and interior – available in classic or sport- are a high class design by Cor D. Rover.

The hull was built in only 2 months time and finished-off in an extra 4 months. So August 2016 the yacht was completed.Van Oossanen attended the endurance tests and the new Jetten FDHF Beach 45. The yacht’s performance was very well – with her 2 x 300 HP engines easily 22 knots was reached, the cruising speed of 17 knots was very comfortable. Important to notice that the fuel consumption at 17 knots was 70 to 80 liters depending on the sea state, very efficient for a yacht of this length.

At Boat Dusseldorf 2016, The Jetten Beach45 was awarded the European Powerboat of the Year Award, well deserved!
