41m Motor yacht Rüya
500GT volume for 41 meter length: full-displacement composite superyacht Rüya was launched in 2015 by Turkish Shipyard Alia Yachts after a build period of just over two years. Her spacious high quality design is fully custom and very functional. Van Oossanen’s naval architecture made sure the yacht was built according to Lloyd’s Register, and complies with the MCA LY2 regulations.
The original design brief was a spacious sub-500GT yacht, which has the capacity for global cruising with an overall length of approximately 40 meter. Van Oossanen worked closely with Sam Sorgiovanni, who designed both the interior and exterior. Managing director Perry van Oossanen states: “The design of Motor Yacht Rüya was a challenging project, due to the design requirements, building material and classification, but also due to the exceptionally high quality requirements both from the Owner and the yard as well as our own standards. Everybody involved in the project can be very proud of the result and call it a success, not in the last place because of the exceptional cooperation between the Client, the yard, the designer and ourselves.”
The result is an exceptionally voluminous design, with multiple usable spaces. Flowing lines add visual length and the outdoor areas were maximized, giving space to a huge 93 meter sun deck with full bar and 10-person Jacuzzi. In the aft a practical sports area can be created, with a spacious swim deck and on-water Beach Club. The master suite is located on the main deck, with two double and two twin VIP guest staterooms on the lower deck. Ten crew are housed across five cabins.
Rüya’s performs a maximum speed of 14 knots and a range of over 4,000nm while cruising at 10 knots, powered by twin Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines.
