As part of the design program for a 42 m Motor Yacht for Cyrus Yachts, full scale Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations were carried out. The aim of these CFD calculations was to determine the bare hull resistance and the flow around the hull, at a speed of 17.5 knots. The calculations were carried out using the “free to trim and sink” option of the code.
