Having done the consultancy work on a 40m fast patrol vessel for Colombo Dockyard Ltd., we were asked to work with them to produce a design for a 37m fast attack craft. After extensive research into the most suitable hull form and propulsion system, we settled for a triple engine and water jet combination. Each jet will be equipped with a steering/reversing unit, to allow for efficient idling on one engine and cruising on two engines.

The vessel has a predicted top speed of over 35 knots, with efficient cruising at speeds as low as 14 knots.

Accommodation is provided for 17 crew, with the officers in a separate compartment.
